{"id":1207,"date":"2023-11-20T11:39:14","date_gmt":"2023-11-20T10:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/?page_id=1207"},"modified":"2026-04-10T12:06:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T10:06:57","slug":"publish","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/publish\/","title":{"rendered":"Publish"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Publish through IRC\/Library<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/publish\/#thesis\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/publish\/#thesis\">PhD thesis<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/publish\/#techreport\">Technical report<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"thesis\"><strong>Publish&nbsp;a PhD thesis<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the requirements to receive a PhD degree from Constructor University, the PhD thesis must be published within one year after the successful defense (cf.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/constructor.university\/student-life\/student-services\/university-policies\/academic-policies\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/constructor.university\/student-life\/student-services\/university-policies\/academic-policies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the university\u2019s academic policies<\/a>).&nbsp;<em>One<\/em>&nbsp;possibility of fulfilling this requirement is to publish the digital version of a PhD thesis on the World Wide Web through the IRC\/Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to submit your PhD thesis to the IRC\/Library for publication, you must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/constructor.university\/sites\/default\/files\/2026-04\/Guide-for-Publishing-a-Dissertation_2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guide for Publishing a Dissertation<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:irc-dissertation@constructor.university\" data-type=\"mailto\" data-id=\"mailto:irc-dissertation@constructor.university\">IRC Publications Officer<\/a>&nbsp;and declare your intention to publish through the IRC\/Library<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon confirmation by the IRC Publications Officer,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/opus.constructor.university\/publish\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">upload your PhD thesis<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The submission of your PhD thesis for publication is not to be confused with the submission of your PhD thesis for the reviewing process. For the latter, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/constructor.university\/student-life\/student-services\/registrar-services\/phd-students\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/constructor.university\/student-life\/student-services\/registrar-services\/phd-students\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">information relevant to the reviewing process<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&nbsp;may also want to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/opus.constructor.university\/solrsearch\/index\/search\/searchtype\/all\/start\/0\/rows\/10\/sortfield\/year\/sortorder\/desc\/doctypefq\/doctoralthesis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">all PhD theses published online through IRC\/Library<\/a>&nbsp;so far.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"techreport\"><strong>Publish a technical report<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Technical Reports of Constructor University are written to convey new developments or final results of scientific and technical research. These can be found&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/opus.constructor.university\/solrsearch\/index\/search\/searchtype\/all\/start\/0\/rows\/10\/sortfield\/year\/sortorder\/desc\/doctypefq\/workingpaper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please prepare your report in pdf format; Word is also possible but not encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you use Word, employ the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2025\/05\/titlepagetechrep.doc\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2023\/12\/titlepagetechrep.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Word template<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please also prepare an abstract that is going to be published with the report on the technical report webpage. Please use simple text or Word for this abstract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the main author must submit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pages.constructor.university\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2025\/05\/Declaration-Publication.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Declaration on Publication<\/a>&nbsp;in written form having the original signature.
