The time schedule for this can be found at the <a href=\"https:\/\/constructoruniversity.atlassian.net\/wiki\/spaces\/catalogue\/overview\">Course Catalogue Planning Pages<\/a> (restricted page access).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, to access your courses, the following steps are necessary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go on Courses > My Courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the appropriate semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the course name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reference Semester<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CampusNet is showing the &#8220;wrong&#8221; semester? You can select the right semester on the upper part of the page. Once the semester has officially started, CampusNet will show this semester by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Mandatory-Information\">Mandatory Information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following information is mandatory when you prepare your course pages. Please follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Grading-Information\">Grading Information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mandatory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This information is mandatory and must be submitted before the beginning of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go on Exam elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the dropdown menue select a category. You can adjust the actual name of the grade component in the next column.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a percentage (weighting of the grade component for the final grade)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a student fails the whole course in case he fails this partial grade, click \u201eMandatory achievement&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8220;Add&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue with step 2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save and close when all partial grades are entered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Further Grading Information<\/strong><br>The exam elements are the basis for entering grades later in the semester. If you base your grading not only on percentages, but also on further conditions, you have to enter this information in Further Grading Information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go on &#8216;Veranstaltungsbeschreibung \u00e4ndern\/hinzuf\u00fcgen&#8217; (i.e. Change \/ Add Course Information).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edit the field Further Grading Information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save <strong>Attention!!!<\/strong> <strong>Do not go on Print Preview before saving the changes.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close (by checking the x in the top right corner)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using a different Grading System?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Constructor University supports two different grading systems. Please check the page <a href=\"https:\/\/constructoruniversity.atlassian.net\/wiki\/spaces\/campusnet\/pages\/99486481\">Constructor Grading Systems<\/a> for more information. If you are not using Constructor grades for your grade components, but percentages, please contact the Registrar&#8217;s Office for the necessary adjustments in CampusNet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Syllabus\">Syllabus<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mandatory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This information is mandatory and must be submitted before the beginning of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the bottom of the page go on Material > New<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the dropdown menue select &#8220;Syllabus&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Description write \u201eSyllabus&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Remarks write \u201eSyllabus&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8220;File upload&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go on Browse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for the file and double-click on it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8220;Start Upload&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Textbooks\">Textbooks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mandatory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This information is mandatory and must be submitted before the beginning of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Enter-New-Books\">Enter New Books<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the bottom of the course page click on the type of textbook you want to enter (Primary Text, Required Reading, Recommended Reading). Please read the page <a href=\"https:\/\/constructoruniversity.atlassian.net\/wiki\/spaces\/campusnet\/pages\/99484378\">Textbook Types<\/a> for more information on the definition and consequences of the three textbook types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the category New Book, New Chapter of Book or New Journal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the information. Check the table below for more details on how to enter the information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save and Close<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Copy-Books-from-Previous-Courses\">Copy Books from Previous Courses<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the bottom of the course page click on one of the textbook types.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8220;Copy Items&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for the course from which you want to copy items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Behind the course click on &#8220;Copy&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the item(s) that you want to copy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go on &#8220;Copy&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Info<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The type of textbook (primary text, required reading, recommended reading) will also be copied. If you want to have a different type, you will need to change this after copying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your Course does not have any Textbooks?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go on Change on the top of the course information page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down to &#8220;Literature&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click in &#8220;No Text&#8221; in the corresponding category.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save and Close.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Data-Format-for-Textbook-Entries\">Data Format for Textbook Entries<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>There are certain mandatory fields for the different types of literature. The IRC will check automatically if the entered textbook is already available in the collection or whether is has to be ordered. For this process, the information in the respective mandatory fields is necessary.
