I heard that my old friend and colleague Vincenzo (Enzo) Cerundolo passed away this morning. I’ve known him since 1992, when we worked side by side in Alain Townsend’s lab, he as a star postdoc, I as a beginning DPhil student. Enzo last worked at the WIMM in Oxford<\/a> as the Head of the Human Immunology Unit. They have written an obituary.<\/a><\/p>\n
Enzo, for me, was a scientific giant, so incredibly bright, fast, with a photographic memory, genuine curiosity for science, always positive, full of excitement, genuinely funny, and very very successful.<\/p>\n
I will miss him very much.<\/p>\n
